The Institute of Waste Management of Southern Africa herewith proudly announces our

24th WasteCon™ flagship Conference and Exhibition.

This premier showcase of best practice African waste management solutions will take place at Emperor’s Palace in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Waste management in South Africa is guided by the internationally accepted waste management hierarchy, which is implemented through the National Environmental Management: Waste Act, 2008.

The Emperors Palace Conference Centre is the embodiment of the perfect event venue and has extensive technical resources and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including WiFi access. Emperors Palace is conveniently situated next to O.R. Tambo International Airport and offers guests a complimentary shuttle service operating every 20 minutes between 06h00 and 23h00, daily. The Gautrain rapid rail network comprises a link between Pretoria and Johannesburg as well as O.R. Tambo International Airport and Sandton. Gautrain busses operate daily from 05h30 - 20h00 on route directly to Emperors Palace.

The Exhibition component of the event will provide an extensive showcase for all companies and organisations to promote their services, products and technologies. Maximum exposure for exhibitors has been carefully planned with lunches and teas being held in the exhibition hall, this to ensure that delegates are drawn to the area giving the exhibitor an opportunity to network with conference delegates and to showcase their products and or services. Provision has been made for internal stands and external displays of heavy plant and equipment.

The exhibition will be open to the general public which will provide excellent exposure for all exhibitors.

Please note that all methods of registered exhibitors are subject to our standard terms and conditions: 



• If you cancel within 10 weeks of this event running a 50% cancellation fee will be charged
• If you cancel within 2 weeks of this event running a 100% cancellation fee will be charged 
• Please notify the office in writing



• Once you stand has been reserved, full payment is required to confirm your booking.
• Alternatively, a 50% deposit on receipt of invoice and full payment due by not later than 30 June 2018   will confirm your stand.



• All register exhibitors will be deemed to be confirmed and subject to these terms and conditions.
