Call for Papers Online Submission

The theme of the conference is entitled “Implementing the Waste Hierarchy”. This approach towards waste management emphasizes the following key elements and will serve as topics for the conference.


Call for Papers


All abstracts are to be submitted online by 2 March 2018. No late papers will be considered. Applicants will be contacted regarding their application by 4 May 2018.


Should the paper be accepted, all presenters must complete the online delegate registration form and the reduced presenter fee paid immediately to secure your paper submission. All delegates presenting papers are required to submit a full paper for inclusion in the Proceedings by 29 June 2018.

  • "Implementing the waste hierarchy” - “Progress”; “is it enough”?


The conference will take place over a period of three days, plenary sessions, presentations and parallel workshops will be conducted by the leaders in the respective fields providing an overview as well as an in-depth description of the developments, research, innovations and technologies.

The most prominent highlight of the conference will be a technical tour that will take place on the last day of the conference. Details of this exciting tour will be revealed at a later stage so watch this space and make sure that you book your seat in advance as space will be limited.


An astounding fun-filled social programme will provide delegates, speakers, exhibitors and guests with world class networking and benchmarking opportunities. The social program also provides a perfect platform to meet up with old friends and to make new ones.  In addition, the all-important exhibition floor will showcase the many new and not so new innovative products and services that service providers to the industry have to offer. The exhibition will also be opened to the public for the first time in the history of WasteCon™.
